Objectives of the Course
|
The course aims to enable students to learn the basic concepts of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design profession; comprehend the multifaceted relationship of the discipline with science and art; learn the interior and environmental design process through the basic principles and contextual concepts of design; It aims to have knowledge about the historical development of the profession by researching the pioneering examples of interior design.

Course Content
|
Basic definitions of interior architecture discipline; field and scope of the profession; the way the profession relates to the disciplines of architecture, art and design; mental and physical comprehension of the context formed by the environment-space-human trio; transferring the physical elements of interior and environmental design; interior design process and basic principles of design.

Course Methods and Techniques
|
The course will be carried out with theoretical presentations, discussions, question-answer, homework, student research and/or presentations to be carried out as individual and/or group work.
