Objectives of the Course The place of the history and theory of architecture in the discipline of architecture, the basic methods and terms of the discipline of history are transferred within the scope of this course, and it is aimed to cover their chronological consumption of the concepts of space construction, building system and urbanization within the scope of holistic and cause-effect relations. In this context, the main aim of the course is from the Paleolithic Age 16-17. Examining the basic art and architectural history of the period up to the 19th century provides chronological transfer and exhibiting the geographical, socio-cultural settlement of societies.
Course Content The content of this course includes topics such as the basic concepts of Architectural History, its historical development, importance and tasks, and chronological developments in the history of architecture.

Mainstream trends are determined by defining why and how the tradition of space is established by establishing a connection to the political, economic and culture and history of the period, which is the focus of the courses. It is aimed to raise awareness in students about the scope of generalizations of history by considering the typical structures and original structures of each period together.
