Objectives of the Course The course aims to provide students with comprehensive and holistic knowledge on the perception of environment and space, and in this way, contribute to the development of the theoretical infrastructure and critical design thinking that will support the design process. One of the objectives of the course is to evaluate the past, present and future status of the relationship between human, space and environment, and to evaluate the meaning of this triple relationship in relation to time, place and culture.
Course Content To consider the multidimensional relationship between human, space and environment within the framework of Environmental Psychology and Architectural Psychology theories; It includes making critical readings on spatial examples within the framework of spatial behavior, experience and perception.
Course Methods and Techniques The course will be carried out with theoretical presentations, discussions, question-answer, homework, student research and/or presentations to be carried out as individual and/or group work.
