Course Delivery Method Face To Face
Objectives of the Course The aim of the course is to teach students the basic concepts and methods required to develop analytical thinking, synthesis, evaluation, problem solving, graphic and technical expression skills in all stages of the architectural design process and to gain design awareness. This course enables students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practice by preparing the application project of a building that has been or can be realized with the construction methods to be chosen with at least two floors and a basement. Through this course, students will develop their creative thinking and design skills and gain self-confidence in creating holistic and functional architectural projects.
Course Content This course covers building construction methods comprehensively. Based on the main structural systems, architectural elements that make up the interior such as walls, roofs, stairs and floor systems are examined and analyzed. Thus, while students learn about the methods used in the building construction process, they also understand the importance of interior design. The focus of the course is to understand all aspects of the building construction process and to analyze and interpret architectural elements.
Course Methods and Techniques The course will be carried out through theoretical presentations, discussions, design practices and projects to be done in the studio and/or as homework, individual and/or group studies, panels and individual criticisms.
